Weights and Measures

She oozed her formidable beauty with each step and verse

Plotting to escape her prior all the while holding my gaze

Smiling through her teeth savoring her next meal to come

Within her clutches she held The Scales

Not of justice but of revenge unbridled with her fingers upon the weights

For my payment shall be of the highest price

Beware her measures to cloak and serpentine

Beguiling you with those dark alluring eyes that seem so, so deep

Only because they are black as Hell

And will show no mercy

The rhythm of the music has stopped but the dance is far from over

The wicked instrument still plays

Not out of inspiration but of habit

Just as I did not know that all I have been

Is her revenge…

May she live forever
